Winamp history

I worked in the AOL Streaming engineering org and we'd just acquired Winamp, Shoutcast and some other IP + staff. When old datacenter servers (usually hp dl360 or 380s), routers (cisco or juniper) and swtches (foundry) needed to be replaced, leadership would often times let staff take the older decommissioned gear home for learning or personal use. In '06 we found that one guy had just been taking gear home and putting it on eBay. Add bookmark #24 I use Winamp 5.66 2013 almost daily. I use it to listen to my library and playlists in the office. The Winamp library is an awesome tool to manage my 28,000+ files. It's fast, powerful and has no advertiising. I use the playlists made in Winamp in Sonos as imported playlists and with the Android app Poweramp. I can access my full library in Windows and Android using the same files and playlists.There seems to be declining use for players of local libraries. I read somewhere only 15% of music listeners still listen to local libraries. I think I tried one of the newer versions at some point but didn't like the changes so went back to this version since I had kept the install file from way back then. It does just what I need so haven't bothered looking at anything else to play my music when on the PC. Add bookmark #26 "Git mechanics" makes it sound more complicated than it really is. You just need to know basic Git usage to recover the files removed in this way. It's also a pretty basic feature of every other source control system. Pretty much every developer in the software industry knows how to do this.Every developer, except whoever "deleted" the files that is. It's actually complex. Say there are 50 devs. Lets say the dev, Delete Dave deletes the offending files /folder, does the rebase and rewrites history. Cool. Delete Dave needs to do this for ALL branches. This is the impossible part. If any of the other 49 devs, with any of their local branches (which don't have the rewritten history commit) commit, you'll get alternative timelines back. So now you have a bigger problem - the original one (all branches, local, remote back in a new timeline) and the new clean state (all of Delete Daves branches in the clean timeline). Basically all devs need to cooperate to jump into the clean timeline with rewritten history. And with commit hashes not matching, this is more painful than you'd like. Especially the history list where you could just play again songs that you heard weeks ago. 1.) Now with v5.51 i dont see this history, nowhere to click "enable history view" like described in the help pages. What´s wrong with my v5.51? Bookmarks i dont have either!!!2.) Why is there now a balance in the middle of the board, which is so close to volume?3.) Why is it not possible to change the size adapting my screensize anymore? The history is controlled by ml_history and the bookmarks by ml_bookmarks. They should be listed in the Media Library plugins section in the prefs. If they aren't run the installer again and make sure you select them.What board? There is usually a balance slider in modern skin equalisers (skin designer can choose) and there has always been one in the claasic main window. If you are taling about the Bento skin's multi-content view, you can change it to show something other than the EQ.Nothing has been changed about the window shade mode. It can still be any width you want it to be.
