High-end art, it'll probably be fine without. #8 I am presuming the OP does not have the Photography pal and needs an app that can do the job that the Print module does in LrC. This is why I am suggesting the Printer manufacturer's provided software. I have never used any other print software besides Lightroom. And I know of no other dedicated print software that can print as well as the LrC Print module. #9 QImage is a good printing tool and had very desirable features not in Lr. At first glance it appears that Qimage is only a Windows app. The OP is a Mac User. #12 Qimage One works on Mac and Win, but is not identical to Qimage Ultimate.I have never tried to forensically analyse the difference , but there are specific features on Qimage Ultimate which are not available on Qimage1.I have never tried Qimage One on Mac or Windows.I am not sure at what stage the Binartem connection was established.I regard the GUI of Qimage as clunky and not always intuitive, but once you work out what features you want to use and or set up the templates you want to use…. then it becomes a very routine task to generate the required prints.I regard the GUI for printing within the Lr Print module to be overly complex. Despite this, I use Lr for 90% of my prints and Qimage Ultimate for when I wish to place accurately metadata text on the printed page. #13 there are specific features on Qimage Ultimate which are not available on Qimage1. Still it is nice to know that for a Lightroom user, there are printing options available. It is clear to me that there is room for and opportunity for developers to fill this niche. I am running Windows 7 64-bit, bith Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS5, and using an HP Z3100 and I've just gotten Qimage Ultimate. I can't find where in the HP properties I turn off ICM mode in the driver. Do I select "printer manages color" in the HP driver and then select the profile in Qimage? I'm a bit confused, as you can see.DavidDavid,Perhaps I can help until Mike or Ernst find you.The point Mike was making is basically saying, either you want Qimage to take care of the color, or you want the printer driver to do it; but not both.If you use a printer profile in Qimage, then you need to turn off any interference in Color Management from the printer driver.That means no ICM as that is a sort of profile. In Epson Printers, you check ICM which causes a NO COLOR ADJUSTMENT check box to appear, and when you check that, the printer driver does not mess with the color.Unfortunately, HP does not permit any driver download unless you have that printer plugged in so I cannot tell you what screen to look at.Therefore, you need to wait for an HP High End printer owner, Ernst, or Mike.The manual must have some reference to settings when using a print profile.Just wanted you to know you haven't been forgotten.fred
